Wow, I can't wait to try some of Em's delicious-sounding food! And FYI, 7 PM is also the golden hour when Motherland Music weeknight drumming classes begin, so if you have a chance come check out Motherland Music, 2921 La Cienega, directly across from Em's. TV? What's that?? We like interacting with human beings in person.
ReplyDeleteI was at the show this past Saturday night. I love the concept, but I hope that the MCs don't continue their criticism of the crowd for talking during performance. You go to ANY venue with live music with casual seating and you will find people talking. Especially when it's free and the venue isn't even completed yet. It's also a true buzzkill to have the host talking and talking and talking through the break. Most of the people in the audience are there to see the performers, not the host. Other than that, loved the music that I did see and I hope this venue takes off! Best of luck.
